GAY/LESBIAN

If you are gay, lesbian,  questioning, know someone who is, or just want to learn about it, you've come to the right place. Being gay, usually referred to as lesbian for females, means being attracted to the same sex. Being gay also means that the attraction is exclusive to the same sex, you don't feel any attraction to the opposite sex.  The  word  “lesbian”  comes from the name of the Greek island Lesbos, where Sappho, a Greek poet was born. She wrote poems that included homosexual themes. The term “sapphic,” named for this poet, also refers to female homosexuality.
